My little Harper Bear is such a rough and tumble kid! Justin and I call him our “emergency room son” because he is always getting hurt. This is his latest visible wound. Road rash…ouch!

I got to spend the weekend with my sweet niece Fiona. She didn’t so much love Auntie Lindsey this time around. Though she did LOVE Harper and Uncle Justin. It’s okay. I know she’ll love me more when she’s older! I snapped a couple of adorable photos. Here’s one.

time and tide wait for no man, but time always stands still for a woman of thirty.

Soooooooooooo BIG!

Judah started in the 3’s class at preschool today. Such a big boy. Judah was in the door and down to the classroom almost before I could steal a kiss. He was like, peace out mom, I’m way too cool for a kiss.

Let yard clippings lie. Yard waste, including bagged grass and clippings, eats up a full 20 percent of our diminishing landfill space. After mowing, leave the clippings behind. They’ll nourish the soil and help moisture from evaporating, reducing waste, water use, and the need for fertilizer.

oh to be young

•August 21, 2009 • Leave a Comment

The older I get, the more I realize, YOUTH IS WASTED ON THE YOUNG!

Amazing how when we are young, all we want is to be older. When we were ten, we wanted to be thirteen. Thirteen wanted sixteen. Sixteen wanted eighteen. Eighteen wanted twenty-one. After twenty-one I can’t remember wanting to be any older. Though I must say, my thirties have been FABULOUS!

If you are a person in your youth, ENJOY it! Take it from us who have been there, (like you’ll listen) you’ll look back and wish you’d have lived more in those moments.
