seven

I have such fond memories of being seven. It was one of my favorite years. I learned so many things and gained so much confidence. I hope that Judah will look back at his seventh year with the same fondness.

Happy Birthday Judah! You never cease to amaze me. I admire your free spirit and sense of self.

I am so glad you were born!

A baby no more. (sniffle, wipe the tears)

Emary is a fun little gal. She’s super smart and silly! She adores her brothers, Happy (Harper) and Beebah (Judah). Loves to sing, “We-eeeeee, ever!” Can you guess which song that is? She prefers to run and when she does walk it’s on her tip-toes. Likes to scrunch her nose and stick out her tongue. She loves to pick out her own clothes (Lord help me!). A bundle of a blessing this little one is. Beyond love this girl.

SIX

Today is my Juderbug’s 6th Birthday! I keep thinking, “Six, has it been six years already?”

This morning as we made his birthday breakfast, Justin and I remembered the day he was born. We told Judah how we felt when we met him and what the world around him was like. He loves to hear these stories. Though he often has to add in comments about poop or farting.

Judah is a lively, imaginative boy. It is so fun watching him grow and learn. God has truly blessed our family with him.

Year of Gratitude

Okay so I am a bit late posting this. Life happens.

One of my hopes for 2012 is to give more energy to the positive and less to the negative. I often get too focused on the things that need fixing. So, for 2012, I have challenged myself to daily gr’atitude’ checks. I am keeping a daily record of all things positive! Many of which I will post here.

Here are a few from the January.

does he have to grow up?

My not-so-little Judah-man starts Kindergarten on Wednesday. Hard.To.Believe. Judah is a very bright, outgoing, and kind boy. I know that he’s so ready to take this step. It’s just mama who is not! I’m going to miss him terribly. I’ll miss his sweet voice and the silly songs he sings, his gentle hugs, his Legos being stuck to my feet, his art creations, and his help. Really, no one will miss him more than his brother. I’m going to have to brush up on my wrestling skills to keep Harper entertained. It’s going to be a strange and tearful transition for us. Oh, here come the tears.
