On a recent boat outing, Justin sent me the following photo. This is just so Jude. I love how adventurous and brave he can be. That saltwater is cold!
As Harper requested, I attempted bug cupcakes.
Goodie bags full of bug catching tools.
Emary and Mimi. Aren’t they cute?
It was a very fun day. I know that Harper had a great time and felt very loved! Thanks to all who joined us.
Lately I have heard this from many, many people;
“Enjoy your kids while they are young, it goes by quickly.”
It’s actually nice to have the reminder. There are days that I don’t enjoy my kids. I get so caught up in my day-to-day agenda that I get irritated with them. Some days getting the floor swept and the laundry done become my top priority. Not sitting with them at snack time or building Lego sets for hours. Not that I think I need to give my kids every second of my attention. But it’s nice to have the reminder to enjoy them. Enjoy each day I have with them and let the crumbs lie on the floor for bit.
I posted this poem to my blog over three years ago.
If I had my child to raise all over again,
I’d build self-esteem first, and the house later.
I’d finger-paint more, and point the finger less.
I would do less correcting and more connecting.
I’d take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.
I’d take more hikes and fly more kites.
I’d stop playing serious, and seriously play.
I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars.
I’d do more hugging and less tugging.
Even with this being my third pregnancy, I am amazed at what my body is doing. I (ME!) am growing another person. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!! Amazing!
Justin, Judah, and I recently went in for the anatomy ultrasound. Judah was great! He loved seeing baby and had lots of questions. Very special having him there. Baby gave us a nice show. Moving a lot. Playing with her/his fingers and face. Shaking her/his head back and forth. It was my favorite ultrasound of the three. I am very excited to meet this little one!! And yes, we are waiting (AGAIN) until delivery to find out the sex.
That has been the question in our home the past six months. Should we stick with two kids or go for a third? When Justin wants a third, I don’t. When I want a third, Justin doesn’t.
So I want to hear from you. All of you out there with three or more kids. Give me the good, the bad, and the ugly on three!!
Irish you a Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
